Junior Cheer Camp - Newport Harbor's Junior Cheer Camp will be held the summer of
2008 from Monday, August 18th to Thursday, August 21st. The camp is open to
children entering Kindergarten - 8th grade. The campers will learn cheer technique,
cheers and dance routines and perform in a halftime show at one of the Varsity home
games in the Fall. Please see flyer and registration form for more information. You can

Proceeds from the camp support the program and help provide financial aid to those
unable to meet the costs of uniforms, cheer camp and support dues. The dues pay for
our coaches, performance equipment, supplies, transportation and participation in
cheerleading competitions. Your support is greatly appreciated.

TAR Cards - Tar Cards are discount cards to numerous local vendors, primarily food
services in close proximity to the high school. The cards are a win-win for businesses
as the businesses receive publicity and increased sales, while the cheerleaders receive
a portion of the profit from each card. The cards are sold by the cheerleaders June
through August, then offered by NHHS ASB with whom the proceeds then are shared
on a 50-50 basis. Thanks for your support!

Newport Harbor Cheer is primarily parent supported and our dues go directly to
coaching salaries. The girls make direct payments for their uniforms and their
camp fees. Some of those costs are covered by our generous corporate sponsors.
The everyday costs of supplies, equipment, transportation, competitions, team
building activities and so on, are paid for through our fundraising efforts which
consist of the following:

Corporate Sponsors - Corporate sponsors are the backbone of our non-profit cheer
program. Every year the program struggles to meet the costs of coaching salaries,
equipment, transportation and supplies. While we ask each of the girls to purchase their
own uniforms and pay dues, we often have many girls in need of financial assistance
and thus must rely upon our generous sponsors for support. Our cheerleaders learn
valuable leadership skills which last a lifetime. Your tax-deductible contribution may be
recognized in various ways (football program, banners, photos, corporate events). For

Birthday Parties/Special Events - NHHS cheer squads are available to perform and
teach cheers at your daughter’s next birthday party or appear at special events. For
